Here is what It’s Your London guests are saying about us. I send my thanks to them all!
My day with Sue was just what I needed. It was a little refresher tour of the city filled with wonderful stories, facts, and fun details which I enjoyed immensely. I learned so much and fell more in love with London in the process. Thanks, Sue!
Sue, you showed us various highlights of London and arranged our short time together to see as much as we could. I can’t wait to come back!
We had a great morning see the sights of London with Sue. She was able to tell us stories regarding English history that we would never have known. We also saw much more in one morning than doing it by ourselves.
Sue was a tremendous resource to me as I planned a multi-city two week trip on very short notice. She probed to know more about my interests and adapted her advice and expertise to make sure we had time for the priorities. She followed up to be sure all was going well, and took a personal interest in the success of the trip. I could not have done it without her!
Sue is your go-to for personalized service and tailored tours around London. She is so easy to work with, very flexible and wants to make sure you have the best experience possible. I highly recommend Sue!
We recommend Sue’s personalized London tours. She has an excellent feel for the big city and will customize your days based on your particular interests. We spent 2 days with her, one for a general introduction to the must-see sights and the second day was traveling around to different neighborhoods and lesser known, fascinating and fun places that only insiders know about. Definitely book her to discover this fascinating city of London.
Why choose It’s Your London?
We had never been to London and were planning to spend 4 days in London with our 11 y/o grandson and wanted to maximize efficiency to see as much as possible of his priority sites. We had had good experiences in the past with individualized tours in Asia and were looking for the same in London. We found the Itsyourlondon site and contacted Sue Hillman. She was incredibly approachable and promised to do the necessary planning to achieve our goal for our 1st day in London. Thanks to her meticulous advanced planning it was a tremendous success! We met her at 9 AM and set off on the Tube for the Churchill War Rooms and before lunch had seen the War Rooms, the changing of the guard, the Horse Guard, Big Ben and the London Eye. It was seamless, but in retrospect she had us, very pleasantly, on a tight schedule through St. James and Green Parks after Buckingham Palace. By 5 PM we had been through the Tower of London, seen the Tower Bridge and visited the Harry Potter site at Platform 93/4 at Kings Cross Station and back to our hotel in Russell Square. Not only was she a good planner, but was a font of knowledge on London/English history and gave recommendations for planning the rest of our visit. After 5 days in London, Gabriel (11 y/o) told his Mother that his 3 favorite things were seeing Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (recommended by Sue), hearing Big Ben and meeting Sue Hillman. Hiring her was an incredibly good use of time and money. I wouldn’t have done it any other way!
Thanks again for making us so welcome. We had a great time in London. You certainly know your stuff and took us to places that related to our interests. You introduced us to the places beloved by locals in the know, yet off the usual beaten track taken by tourists. Such a treat! We had a fantstic time and have great memories of our London trip to share with friends back home.
Thanks again so much,
Fiona and Barrie
Sue in Marathi, my mother tongue and national language Hindi, means Needle.
Needle stitches two pieces of cloth with a thread.
Your knowledge and communication skills were like thread. You stitched together British and Indian minds.
Kudos! Appreciate you!
I would suggest a private tour to anyone visiting London. I was able to see a lot of the major sights. My guide was well informed and I learned a lot about each site visited. A great afternoon!
